Positioned between Maenporth and Swanpool and adjoining the coastal foot path with private access, it’s just a 10 min walk to Maenporth beach, and a 20 min walk to Swanpool Beach on the newly resurfaced coastal footpath. Both Maenporth and Swanpool Beach have beach cafes and restaurants to dine in while you enjoy sea views.

Falmouth town centre is a 10 min drive away, offering a great high street with many independent boutiques and well know shops, and a wide array of restaurants and pubs.

From A30 into Cornwall, at Carland Cross junction take turning onto A39 towards Truro, Follow A39 into Truro and stay on A39 to Falmouth. At Hillhead round about (with cannons on it) take the 2nd exit onto union road. At the next 2 roundabouts go straight over and stay on this road (Bickland Water Road) for about a mile to the next roundabout, take the second exit towards Maenporth onto Pennance Hill. Stay on this road as it changes to Maenporth Road after Pennance Mill Farm, take the first left onto Penrose Farm (opposite Tregedna Farm) and follow directions in the lane to campsite.

Our Story

Penrose Farm is a family farm, now having its 5th generation living on the farm, and 4 generations currently living here. Comprised of costal fields, woodland, mixed arable land and our own spring and stream.

Myself and my husband, married at the bay view site in 2016 and I have worked on the farm since 2018, we moved to a cottage on the farm in 2020, and in 2024 decided to start Bay View in the fields we got married in, to help reinvigorate the farm.

The farm and bay view site is very close to our hearts, as I have spent a lot of time here since I was a child, and now bringing up my own child here is a privilege.
